Hi! I'm Yasi.
I am a Clarendon Scholar and MSc student at the Oxford Internet Institute, where I study Social Science of the Internet. Prior to Oxford, I worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C. (2022–2024), advising clients across sectors (e.g., financial services, manufacturing, education) on strategic AI deployment, balancing value creation with risk mitigation. My current research investigates the ideological evolution of Silicon Valley, with a focus on effective accelerationism and the political stakes of the AGI race. I also hold a B.S.H. in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University, where I concentrated in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence and minored in Poetry. At Stanford, my research explored how AI-moderated deliberation platforms might reduce political polarization among university students. I also spent time as a paid site writer with Vox Media for the San Francisco Giants.
